After my rant the other day about bring back the Debenhams Cup I got to thinking what other crazy cup competitions could we bring back.

The Answer the "Texaco Cup!"

The Texaco cup featured teams from English, Scottish, Northern Irish, and Irish football leagues.

It was designed to foster co-operation between the leagues but the tournament was dominated by English clubs.

One plus said is that Rangers and Celtic are always moaning about wanting to compete in England and this would give the a chance to prove why they should.

Oh well even if it doesn't come back Huddersfield Town are playing in Europe this season - Swansea!
